Look up here from Thehighwastar.com news: www.thehighwaystar.com/news/2010/12/10/down-to-earth-remaster/I personally own the "old" CD, not the newer remaster, mine is sounding pretty bad. Have some of the rough mix stuff on CD 2 already but hoping for the best possible sound. Bonnet is such a cool singer, wow! Zakk

Steve I have the vinyl as well ... so there is no need in feeling old. But ... I couldn't buy it on it's first release, I was only 9 years old ... ;D

On Amazon.de I found the release date for the Deluxe double CD will be March, 1st in Germany. Sooner January, 31st in the UK (amazon.co.uk). AND ... it seem as if there will be at the same release date also a Deluxe edition of "Rising"!!!!!!! That lets me reckon, it will contain as well the rough mixes, that some of us will already know with the long synthie intro to Stargazer. In the UK should be out on February, 28th. Here you can see the tracklist, many versions of the songs, even one of Man on the silver you know what ... www.amazon.co.uk/Rising-Rainbow/dp/B004DN3VEM/ref=pd_bxgy_m_h__text_bI'm a bit excited!

I have got the DTE and the extra stuff is a different to what I have heard on the rough mix bootlegs and there is some stuff I have not heard before. Blackmores guitar tone is really bare without the studio production. Its quite interesting to hear. There is a lot of stuff from the Rising special addition on Youtube now. From what I can tell the remasters dont sound much different. The rough mix is better for hearing the individual players. here is an example of the LA mix www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvrY9mHF6YU
