I really like the Truth Hurts vid because it gives a clue of what's to come when Gillan re-joins the band, and it shows why JLT was so wrong for Purple even if he's one of the best singers out there. Blackmore hit his, IMO, second peak during the '93 tour, and it lasted well into the late '90s!!! That's just amazing!!! What a talented guitarist he was, and probaly still is (he lost me after the first BN record). How I wish he would return to rock'n'roll, and unlike what some people say- I think he still could do it, and I believe he could do it with style!!! There's only one Blackmore, and some years from now I can brag about seeing him live both with Purple ('93) and Rainbow ('95 and '96) to my children. The '93 gig with Purple, his second to last ever, was by far the best concert I've ever been to. The only concert to come close was Rainbow '95 with Doogie in full flight! What a great concert that was. A completely new Rainbow with, IMO, the most versitaile singer since....well, the beginning. He could do them all!
